Dressing for the Big Guys needn’t be so hard
Contrary to the usual beliefs, an overweight man can also find the right wardrobe given that he spends some time assessing the Proportions, Fit & Comfort.
Given below are few steps to assess the right dressing style for someone who has that extra pounds.
Go for well-fitting clothes instead of baggy or tight cuts
Give attention to fit over coverage, take the help of a store employee for recommendations.
Never buy anything that’s too tight.
Look for button-ups with spread collars to complement broad features
Look out for shirts with wide spread collar points (spread out collars as opposed to narrow) to balance out broader face & neck.
Stick with straight-legged, medium-rise pants with no pleats
Opt for a straight legged pants to balance out the properties of your legs, waist & stomach
Make sure your shorts don’t go past your knees
Shorts are a comfort clothing any one can wear anytime but make sure your shorts don’t fall below knee level.
Go for vertical stripes and stay away from horizontal stripes
Vertical stripes can help slim your appearance, but remember that horizontal stripes can make you appear wider.
Wear darker tones
Navy, gun metal, deep green, dark brown, and black are all slimming colors.
Lighter colors, on the other hand, can exaggerate size.
Choose neutral solids instead of busy patterns
Avoid complicated patterns especially small checkers with horizontal stripes.
As always I would love to hear from you
