Dress To Impress! Interview Attire
Preparing for an interview is stressful enough and choosing what to wear is never easy. Here are a few tips for dressing to impress at your next job interview.
Do’s:
· Dress accordingly for your job level, dressing corporately is a safe bet.
· Have clean nails, (no crazy nail colours girls!) good hygiene and smell nice.
· Wash your hair and have a neat hairstyle, pulled back if it's long.
Don’ts:
· Don’t wear anything too distracting such as revealing or tight clothing
· Don’t dress too casually, it’s always better to be overdressed then under-dressed
· If you have tattoos, cover them!
Tips for Men:
· Wear a long sleeved shirt and a tie, ensure your tie is tied correctly
· Don’t forget to wear a belt
· No jeans and absolutely no shorts
· Iron, iron, iron – no wrinkles!
· Avoid flashy jewellery
· Make sure you have matching shoes to your outfit
Tips for Women:
· Make sure your skirt is long enough so that when you sit down you can so comfortably and you are covered, ideally to your knees
· Keep your jewellery elegant, nothing too over the top and loud
· Do not wear a see-through shirt and avoid showing cleavage
· Your make-up should be natural and simple
