The Dresden Green
Green diamonds are a favorite of geologists to be observed and debated because they are widely researched scientifically. The Dresden Green is one of the most famous polished green diamonds. It was believed to have been mined in India at the Kollur mine which has been named the most productive mine, where the Hope diamond was also found. This extremely rare hue of bluish green graded as a Type IIA is an interesting modified pear shape. Due to its intense color, it is believed that it was uncovered to radioactive earth while inside the kimberlite. It totals over 41.10 carats and is presently mounted on a hat clasp ornament.
