The most apparently seasonal and yet pervasive of enterprises are Politics and the least understood that involves Science and Technology - as Carl Sagan explained in?Broca’s Brain -?include what we least understand - namely Global Trade.

Paris, as Hemingway exhorted, is a?Moveable Feast.?It is a feast not only for the stomach, but also for the eyes, the mind and the heart. I tried to visit the Musee de L’Homme during my free time in Paris, and as W.C. Fields once joked about Philadelphia:?

I visited the Arc de Triomphe, the Musee de L’Arme' and Les Invalides in Paris and visited where the Bastille once stood. These visits all provided unexpected emotions and epiphanies.?

Fast Forward

Part of my epiphany in Paris - when I was there in order to automate the trade finance processes of la Société Générale -?is the realization that the French had found the solution to financing the world’s largest enterprise - that of global trade - without realizing it. This is not either achieved or imagined because of an intense, ingrained, endemic lack of Faith.?

Theater and film have brought to life and made accessible what would have been inaccessible and unaffordable for the many - as they did for Boris Pasternak's Dr. Zhivago:

with its magnificent music and scenery.

It was reported that Zimbabwe has issued the ZiG, its gold-backed currency. This is reminiscent of Breton Woods - when all world currencies were referenced to the USD - because of its backing in gold and because of the U.S. political and geopolitical stability and competence.?

The Value of all currency and all scientific and technological developments - like AI is based on Trust:

From October 2023: Reuters - [Justice] Engoron also ordered the cancellation of certificates that let some of Trump's businesses, including the Trump Organization, operate in New York, and ordered the appointment of a receiver to manage the businesses' dissolution.

The judge described how Trump, his adult sons Donald Jr. and Eric, the Trump Organization and other defendants made up valuations and inflated Trump's net worth to suit their business needs.
