No doubt, dreams are mysterious because many things we see in our dreams are linked directly with us ………..Dreams are something which can show us our future….Seems like joke but it really is …..Do you know? The creation of Google can be traced back to a dream and the fear of a clerical error. Back in 1996, Larry Page had an irrational fear that he was admitted into college because of an error and believed he would be kicked out of college at any moment. That anxiety fuelled a dream of downloading and storing the Internet on individual PCs. When he woke up, he was curious to see if it was possible so he did the math. Given the amount of data, it wasn’t — but he could save them all as individual links. That gave him the idea of creating a searchable database of links to web pages and that led to the creation of Google.
Now if you search online about this you will get many bizarre facts but I don't want to post all those. These are experienced by me. I have maintained a dream journal for 9 months. That was an amazing experience. I stopped that 2 years ago due to lack of time or to be precise due to irregular sleep. Some of the mysterious things which I experienced are: No matter how hard you try, your dream will become very unstable as soon as you get to know that you re dreaming i.e.,lucid dreaming.
Well there are many sources which say they ll guide you to lucid dream. I have been trying lol that is very tough. Though there are instances where I have been conscious in dream and aware of that. I don't understand why it becomes so unstable as soon as we become aware of that. So dreams are very powerful….Like you must be knowing what "Dejà vu" is, there are instants where I have experienced that in dream may be because of my dream journal. As one will have specific symbols, patterns and architecture in dreams. Due to taking those similar symbols I might have felt like that.
I don't think dreams are mysterious because it's not long lasting and consistent, but I do believe that we can predict something. I have seen snake dreams many time but I doesn't understand exactly what it means. My family doctor has asked me this while check up but he didn't reveal anything about it so at last i will say that we have many other things more interesting than dreams let us enjoy them as possible as we can. Dreams typically involve elements from waking lives—like known people or familiar locations—but they often take on a fantastical feel.

While dreams are frequently interesting, and can allow people to act out certain scenarios that would never be possible in real life, they aren’t always positive—negative dreams, referred to as "nightmares," can create feelings of terror, anxiety, or utter despair, and can lead to psychological distress or sleep problems like insomnia. The big question, however, is why humans dream. Though it’s been discussed and studied for millennia, it remains one of behavioral science's greatest unanswered questions. Researchers have offered many theories—including memory consolidation or emotional regulation—but a unified one remains, well, a pipe dream. Nevertheless, people continue mining their nighttime reveries for clues to their inner lives, for creative insight, and even for premonitions.
What do dreams mean? Humans have puzzled over this question for centuries. The ancient Egyptians believed that dreams were communications from the gods, or prophecies of what was to come. Dream interpretation as a field of psychological study took off in 1899, when Sigmund Freud published The Interpretation of Dreams, laying the foundation for many of his theories of the unconscious mind. Today, many experts disagree with Freud’s conclusions—and some don’t think that dreams signify anything at all—but most people still wake up after a particularly vivid dream and wonder what it could have been trying to tell them.”
This is quite familiar to all “dream in a dream”. Inception, I had that experience way before I watched the horror movie Dark Water(2005) about a girl who goes missing inside a hotel elevator. That was a strange genre of dreams, premonitions. In these some incidents happened exactly the way my subconscious depicted in my dream. I was scared of after such incidents. Some are like they don't exactly show the future but once the incident happens in real life and you remembered the dream u can easily connect the dots and conclude to the incident in present. As there is very little evidence based info on dreams, all of the information on dreams is subjective. Whatever, exploring dreams is cool. Cheers!
