Dreams > Fears (Part 2)

I posted last Wednesday about Dreams > Fears and to read it if you were tired of playing small and letting fear control your life.??

It hit home to so many people that I created a video and Part 2 email here.??

Check out the video right away here: https://youtu.be/qxVksY3OSQo?si=RyCJPJ1nB_Os-AG-??

For most people, something very interesting happens when they start pursuing their dreams and goals.

They encounter what my first Mentor, Bob Proctor, called a "Terror barrier."This is a psychological barrier that often feels like hitting a brick wall. And unfortunately, 97% of people who experience this terror barrier end up retreating to their comfort zones.??These individuals start out with high hopes, big dreams, and a strong desire for a better life. They want success, financial security, fulfilling relationships, and a sense of purpose. They have a grand vision for their lives.

However, when faced with the discomfort and uncertainty associated with breaking through this terror barrier, they succumb to fear and doubt. They retreat back to where they started, and all those dreams remain unfulfilled.?

The fascinating part is that this pattern of retreating into comfort causes more suffering and essentially accelerates the process of "dying inside." People often make excuses like, "I'll do it next month" or "I'll start next year." You've probably seen this in the form of New Year's resolutions, where individuals set ambitious goals but fail to follow through.

They keep delaying their dreams, waiting for the "perfect" moment that never arrives.??Let me share a common example: Many people decide they'll start a fitness routine, double their income, or get some specific outcome starting new January 1st, 2024. They might even create a list of resolutions, saying, "I'm going to lose 50 pounds, make an extra $20,000 a month, and change my life." They start with enthusiasm, but after a few days or weeks, they hit a rough patch. They procrastinate, struggle with forming new habits, and think, "I'll start tomorrow" or "I'll do it in a month."

This cycle repeats endlessly, and their goals remain unachieved.?

Here's the core lesson: The idea that there's a better time in the future is a false belief. No matter how logical it sounds, it's an excuse created by your mind to avoid discomfort and anxiety. Every Leader, every successful person, and every achiever knows that now is the best time to take action.?

You see, discomfort is a sign that you're entering a new vibration or frequency necessary to reach your dreams. When you feel uncomfortable, it means you're on the right path to your goals. So, I want to encourage you to be part of the 3% of the population that breaks through this terror barrier. Don't let circumstances, holidays, or other excuses hold you back.??Forget about all the logical reasons and excuses that your mind comes up with.

The 3% of successful individuals do just that. They start despite the fear and anxiety. They break through the terror barrier and emerge on the other side as stronger, more expanded versions of themselves. This transformation results in a shift in their consciousness and vibration, leading to new thinking, feelings, actions, and ultimately, new results.??Remember, the 3% who live extraordinary lives aren't lucky; they're brave.

They do what others fear. They confront discomfort head-on and move towards freedom. They have faith that things will work out, even if they don't know exactly how. They don't let fear dictate their actions. They become courageous, strong, and resilient individuals. On the other hand, the 97% who avoid discomfort and retreat into their comfort zones are missing out on life's richness.??

Think back to a time when you faced a new, challenging experience. Perhaps it was learning to drive a car as a teenager. You felt a mix of excitement and anxiety. Yet, you didn't wait for a better time; you pushed through and learned to drive. Imagine if you had said, "I'll do it later." You'd have missed out on the freedom and opportunities that driving brings.??The same principle applies to buying your first house, starting a business, changing jobs, or embarking on any new endeavor.

The initial discomfort is a natural part of growth. Embrace it, for it's the gateway to your dreams.??You might be thinking, "But Scott, my situation will improve in the future. I'll wait until then." This is just your mind projecting logic into your dreams to avoid anxiety. In reality, this projection is saying, "I'll stay in my fear and let it control my destiny because I'm afraid of uncertainty."

By waiting for the perfect moment, you're essentially saying, "I'll stay in my fear and let it dictate my life." This leads to a cycle of delay and missed opportunities.?

"Courage is not the absence of fear but the triumph over it." They realized that every dream, vision, and aspiration they held required them to move through discomfort and uncertainty.?

So, what is ONE THING you can do right now go through the scary fear? What is ONE THING you can do right now to embrace the uncomfortable growth??

Again, check out this video to help you: LINK HERE

Embrace who you really are. Fear is just an illusion.
