Dreaming of a white Christmas?

For many, it’s the most wonderful time of the year.

Whether it’s chowing down on a mince pie, sipping on mulled wine by a roaring fire, or digging deep in the box of Quality Street to find the last Green Triangle, there’s no denying that it’s beginning to look (a little) like Christmas.

This year, of course, is going to be a VERY different affair - with Christmas social bubbles, eggnog with friends via Zoom and a socially distanced Santa wearing a face mask.

There's no denying that this year has been incredibly hard for so many but as we wave goodbye to 2020 and step into the New Year, there are a few really important things you can do to ensure you're prepared and ready to take on 2021!

While your competitors are thinking ahead to the Queen’s Speech, logging off for Christmas and winding down for the festivities, there’s no time like the present for you to start focusing on your campaigns to get a head start on your 2021 sales.

So put down that mince pie (for now at least) and plan how you can best use your 90 minutes between now and the end of the year to get you off to the best possible start in 2021.

All I want for Christmas…is to fill my 2021 diary

Now is a good time to start filling in your 2021 planner for the next 12 months. Schedule in important dates, events and product launches as well as your holidays. By planning ahead and having clarity about what next year needs to look like, you’re much more likely to stick to your guns and have a productive 2021.

On the first day of Christmas, my true love gave to me…bucket loads of CLARITY 

What does clarity mean to you – not just for your business, but in your personal life as well? What do you care about next year? I always start with the ‘stuff’ that’s nothing to do with work – the personal stuff. Where do I want to go next year? What do I want to do? Family, personal goals, that sort of thing, 'cos those are the things we really care about. On a cold, February morning, that’s what’ll get you doing the right things. You have to care enough about where you want to be.

Make ‘em stay another day…with a welcome campaign 

So many businesses don't do this, but it’s so important. It’s the hard work that makes the selling easy, and it builds relationships with anyone that buys from you. Why not write and build an autoresponder campaign that goes out to new prospects and customers to keep you front of mind, and encourage them to take action.

It’s a phrase we’re very familiar with, but there’s no denying it – content really is king. Even over the festive break, you should have emails, blog posts and other content scheduled. Just because it’s Christmas, it doesn’t need to be a silent night. Keep in touch!

By taking the time to forward plan for 2021 now, you’ll be leaps and bounds ahead of your competition by the time the first verse of Auld Lang Syne is sung on December 31st.

But only if you spend your 90 minutes this side of New Year thinking the right way – about the right things.
