Dreamforce To You 2020 Key Note ended roughly eight hours ago. What is the Salesforce Advantage today? How will I help my next CxO in a few hours time?

COVID-19 triggered an unprecedented transformation in our lives. We used to consider a business sphere. We used to enjoy a personal sphere. We were employees. We were customers. We used to discuss the gap to bridge between businesses and customers. That's over. No longer a matter of conversation. Be sure.

The very topology of business and life has changed. Business and life have lost their respective boundaries and orientation merging into a Klein bottle with no inside and out. It's an unicum with no longer a clear distinction between roles: entrepreneurs, employees and customers fade into one. It's just us. It's about mutual respect. It's about mutually lending and grabbing helping hands. In this age of doubt, it's about deciding and acting at the speed of light for the good of a wider group of people than before. It's no longer a matter of ourselves or our families. It's for the good of all of us. It's an Internet of Individuals working and living together today and laying the foundations for the future.

This cultural revolution is challenging us:

  • Decision making speed is crucial. Information has to be relevant. Tons of obscure raw data have to be interpreted so as to provide a decision maker with a single drop of inspiring knowledge. It's simply beyond human capabilities, it has to be a machine-aided process.
  • We'll be known by data that we generate. Our data will talk on behalf of us. We will be known through a digital representation of us as we'll seldom be in presence. We'll often be remote. Remote customers, remote colleagues, remote patients, remote human beings. Our digital avatar, our super-sized individual profile will demand a huge load of multi-channel relevant, accurate, up-to-date data to be built. Our digital representation will be available everywhere around-the-clock.
  • There won't be any business but digital businesses. The more the need of data, the more the need of shelter. As we'll be known by means of our digital representation, we'll increasingly need our data to be secured and trustable as they'll speak on behalf of us.

How does Salesforce help us ride the revolution?

  • Platform architecture was redesigned to Hyperforce reaching new heights in scalability, security, data volume handling capacity and fostering workload distribution to public clouds of choice.
  • Data residence proximity to the customer was enhanced to enforce local privacy regulations' compliance, minimize latency and diminish data processing resource consumption and related carbon footprint. Solutions based on a Salesforce-pervasive strategy will help CxO run sustainable businesses and provide the collectivity with environmentally sustainable services.
  • Superior declarative orchestration capabilities were designed to allow digital asset capitalization enabling faster adaption to an ever-evolving business and life context. Solutions based on a Salesforce-pervasive strategy will rock owing to a time-to-market competitive advantage whereas poorly orchestrated solutions won't keep the pace with innovation need.
  • Multi-channel, Artificial Intelligence-aided processes were re-imagined to enable a cross-border, collaborative Internet of Individuals living and working together on any channel, irrespective of physical and language boundaries.
  • State-of-the-art collaboration tools were developed to facilitate employees life while decluttering working desktops and enabling business processes with a human touch in spite of the social distance.

Were I to describe the Salesforce Advantage, today I would say Salesforce is a trustable, intelligent, scalable platform to shelter valuable, decision-relevant identities of individuals together with whom you want to build a sustainable future.
