If someone asks me which is one of the most coveted career paths in the Salesforce ecosystem, I’ll definitely have to go with Salesforce Architect.?
And probably that’s the reason why Salesforce actively works on enhancing the capabilities that would help its professionals to get ready for success.
It was the third Architect Keynote held at Dreamforce, in which the focus was entirely on the importance of “Well-Architected” solutions across functionalities, which could be CRM, AI, or Data-related.?
Architect Keynote Highlights: Well-Architected Explained
The Well-Architected framework is basically a guide that will help you set up a healthy Salesforce architecture.?
The framework is built on three pillars, and for all, the goal is to make sure that your solution is future-ready.?
Now, let’s cover the pointers that were mentioned in the Architect Keynote at Dreamforce.?
1. Use Test Plans to Monitor Scalability
Scale Center will provide users with access to key performance insights directly in the Salesforce UI. It is made available for Salesforce Unlimited Edition.?
To eliminate the guesswork, Scale Testing Services would be of great help, enhancing the performance. It has become easier to discover potential issues or gaps, all thanks to the ability to schedule tests and compare between runs.?
Scale Testing Services are in the Pilot, but you can have a go with Scale Center, which is generally available. This clearly means we can expect more updates and features coming in the near future.?
2. Well-Architected Framework Explorer
The Framework Explorer will be an additional section on the Salesforce Architects website and will become GA in December 2023. Its goal will be to help you build intentional solutions, facilitating your search for patterns and anti-patterns.?

3. Apex Guru Insights
This feature will enable you to access tailored improvements, which will be AI-generated recommendations while ensuring you follow best practices. This would be done by evaluating the “Major”, “Critical”, or “Minor” items in the instance.?
4. AI for Day to Day Processes
Personally, I found Einstein 1 and Einstein Copilot were definitely the biggest announcements for Dreamforce 2023, along with BYOM and Prompt Builder. And these are something that we can’t miss to mention for Salesforce Architects.?
As Einstein Trust Layer would be securing all the interactions with generative AI, Salesforce will enable you to safely use AI functionality so it can be a part of the day-to-day processes of users.?
Einstein Copilot is expected to become GA in Spring ‘24; meanwhile, Einstein for Developers is already in Open Beta, starting Winter ‘24. This will enable you to increase the code speed while improving your AI prompts based on the initial results.?
5. Data Cloud Enrichments
You can now unify customer data to enable a seamless experience while bringing Data Cloud directly into your CRM. All of this could now be handled just in a matter of moments.
Starting Winter ‘24, you can take action on data through Salesforce Flow according to the changes made in the Data Cloud objects.?
In addition to this, time-saving enhancements and easy-to-use tools were introduced in Dreamforce that will make Well-Architected solutions easier, making them essential for business stakeholders to understand and adopt solutions successfully.?
Key Takeaway
There’s one key agenda behind all these improvements- providing Salesforce Architects with the needed resources, tools, and support so they can build solutions that are reliable and easy to understand.
The future of Salesforce Architects looks “Well-Architected” and bright. Doesn’t it?
