Dream It
Dream it. Without delay. And without guilt. Whatever it is that you want to do, yeah, you should go do it. My entire life has been dedicated to listening to peoples problems. And the problem with peoples problems is, they don’t do anything about them. Imagine that. A little effort may just in fact improve the problem. But instead we bitch. We complain. And then we surround ourselves with people who empower that behavior.
Why is my circle small? Because if you aren’t pushing me to do better, there is no seat at my table for you. And this is done out of love. Love for myself. I deserve the best. And the difference….is I am willing to work for it. Some of the best advice I got years ago, was from an older colleague {a high profile therapist} told me that I can’t outwork my clients. Boom! Fucking brilliant. You can do the work for them, but they won’t appreciate it, or they won’t learn to save themselves. Kind of like you can feed a man a fish, and he will eat for today. Teach him to fish, and he will eat for the rest of his life.
Yes, privilege exist. But so does discipline. And guess what. It doesn’t cost a damn thing. The only thing discipline demands is, that you do the work. So do the work. Sitting in your problems is like swimming with a concrete life preserver. You eventually will drown. You can expend a lot of energy swimming, or you simply can unfasten the life preserver, let it sink, and just float.

So what are we talking about today? A little effort goes a long way. In fact, the single greatest thing you can do for yourself is change your mindset. Fear, doubt and anxiety are all liars. Discipline, determination and action are the truth. Fear and faith cannot live in the same house. Neither can hate and love. You either love yourself enough to do the work. Or hate the version of you that deserves to be happy.
Go and dream it.
