There are moments in life that stay with us forever—etched in our memories like a masterpiece on a canvas. This is one such story, a tale of passion, innovation, and an unwavering spirit to create something extraordinary. A story that makes me proud as an educator, a mentor, and a dreamer.
It all started in the Mass Media Studio, where I was deeply engrossed in brainstorming design ideas with a soft Krishna bhajan playing in the background. There’s something magical about that place—it sparks creativity in the most unexpected ways.
And then came a knock. Bursting into the room with her usual enthusiasm was Ms. Reetu Pandey, our school's IT Head. Her eyes gleamed with excitement as she asked, “Can we do something out of the box in the Mass Media segment? Something that truly makes students think?”
Now, when two creative minds sit together, you know something amazing is about to happen. At that time, we were planning our school’s maiden IT Tech Fest: Minds and Machines. We recalled how our students had already pushed boundaries in technology—excelling in coding, AI, VFX, CGI, motion graphics, and even curating an entire signature event, “Razzmatazz”, using Blender and Adobe After Effects.
And then, like a flash of inspiration, an idea struck me. “Wait… we did a 3D projection showcase on a digital platform during Founder’s Day. Can we create something like the Delhi 3D Light and Sound Show?”
Before I could even complete my sentence, Reetu Ma’am said, “Yes! We can do it!”
That was the moment when a dream took shape. Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam once said, “Dreams are not those which you see while you sleep, but those that don’t let you sleep.” And this was that kind of dream—one that kept us awake with excitement and anticipation.
With this idea in mind, I rushed to my three musketeers, my eighth wonders of the world, my superstars: Atharv Jaiswal – Student IT Head, a motion graphics wizard, an expert in VFX, and a phenomenal video editor. Aditya Sharma – School Head Boy, a fantastic photographer and cinematographer with an eye for perfection. Atharv Srivastava – School Media Head, a multi-talented powerhouse excelling in photography, videography, and event management.
I didn’t have to convince them. Before I could even finish explaining, their response was a resounding, “Yes, Sir! Let’s do it!”
And so began a journey of 20 days of sheer hard work, sleepless nights, and relentless dedication. From creating a model of Rumi Gate to perfecting projection mapping, designing graphics, selecting the sound, and ensuring a flawless final output, every step was a challenge—but one they embraced wholeheartedly.
What made it even more exciting? The entire project was completed just a day before the grand reveal! And guess what? We used nothing but a normal projector to bring the stunning 3D projection mapping show to life!
The moment finally arrived. The audience had no idea what was coming, and when the lights dimmed and the projection began, their expressions said it all—pure awe and amazement.
For two months, that masterpiece sat in our Mass Media room, mesmerizing anyone who laid eyes on it. The project was a blockbuster hit, and these three boys cemented their names in the school’s history.
But today, as I pen down this story, nostalgia washes over me. These three gems are now busy tackling their Grade XII Board Exams, and soon, they will officially step out of our school corridors. But one thing is certain—they may leave the school, but their impact, their name, and their work will always be remembered.
They have set an example, inspired many, and left behind a legacy that will shine on. To me, that is the true definition of success.
To my superstars: You have made us proud, and the world is waiting for your brilliance!
