On 8 June, the Century City Conference Centre was transformed into a theatre for “The Dream Lives On,” a spectacular event that showcased the company’s journey, and unveiled the future with the introduction of an inspiring new board of directors.
Under the expert direction of musical maestro Bryan Schimmel, the night unfolded with powerhouse performances and a selection of popular rock classics that resonated with the overarching narrative of building a dream city. Renowned South African artists Vicky Sampson and Richard Stirton captivated the audience of over 500 with their star power and trademark numbers, while a talented cast of singers and musicians brought the house down with rousing vocals and energetic instrumentals.
An integrated multimedia presentation served as a captivating time capsule traversing two decades of development, transporting viewers through the vision, planning, and construction that has turned Century City into a vibrant, secure and beautifully landscaped New Urban precinct, interspersed with insightful video interviews from key players who have played a pivotal role in this incredible story.

The palpable energy in the auditorium culminated in a thunderous standing ovation – a testament to the impact of Rabie’s dedication and the awe-inspiring transformation of Century City.
