Believe me, I get it. I was a bit scared to go out on my own. So much so that I waited until I couldn't wait anymore. My safety net got yanked: I was laid off.
Taking those first steps to start building your own business requires courage, yes. But doing it while you still have a full time “regular job” really takes the sting out of it!
I ask you, why not build your "empire" deliberately, skillfully, and at your own pace rather than being put in a position where you either sink or swim??

I have been cooking up “brands” since I was a kid! I'll dive into the details of that rabbit hole in a future issue, but for now, let's embark on a short journey to recalibrate.
If you've been following me, my company page, and this newsletter, you know my team and I have been passionate about providing insights and guidance for building a strong and authentic presence on LinkedIn. But from here on out, I'm going next level.?
Back in 2018, I started iSellSocial. I was focused on LinkedIn content strategies for B2B leaders. Since then, I've served a variety of entrepreneurs and as the marketplace evolved, so have their needs.
Part of my own recent rebranding journey has involved reexamining my thinking, plans, and values, and then making adjustments.?As a result, my company is now "Ivonne Ribeiro | Brand Strategist." (I still love iSellSocial and it remains a big part of the business… read on ??)?
More than ever, I'm hyper focused on working with starry-eyed success seekers to get strategic about winning by crafting personalized branded plans for success.

Over the years, as I helped leaders and entrepreneurs build content for their networks, I occasionally noticed a disconnect. The overall message was not resonating with the RIGHT PEOPLE. Despite great copy and powerful visuals, the message was just not connecting.?
Why? Because oftentimes, the branding was weak, disconnected, or 15 years old.?
If I regret anything in my business career, it’s not putting my foot down and insisting that the client undergo a rebranding before commencing a social media marketing campaign.?
Some common objections are:?
"The costs of branding are too high right now; we need to focus our budget on more immediate needs." COST CONCERNS
"I'm not sure how branding will directly improve our bottom line, so it's hard to justify the expense." UNCERTAIN ROI?
"We need sales now; let's focus our efforts on tactics that generate immediate revenue." PRIORITY ON IMMEDIATE SALES
"I don't really see how branding is going to make a difference in our business." LACK OF UNDERSTANDING?
