Dream Big, Act Big: Embracing the Power of Clear Vision

The prospect of speaking on an international stage is both thrilling and daunting. This June 2025, I will be part of a panel segment at the MDRT Annual Meeting in Miami, Florida. It's an exhilarating opportunity to elevate my voice globally, following last year's unforgettable experience speaking in front of advisors from Southeast Asia and Africa in Beijing, China. That trip was more than a speaking engagement; it was a step towards becoming an international influence.

The Journey from Shyness to Influence

Looking back, I remember a time when I was not the confident speaker you might envision. As a teenager from a provincial public school, stepping into university life in the metropolis was overwhelming. I was a shy 16-year-old surrounded by peers from affluent backgrounds. Instead of feeling small, I chose to be inspired by them. These early influences planted the seed for my belief that I have something significant to offer the world.

In 2005, with a heart full of dreams and limited knowledge of how to achieve them, I dared to write my aspirations. I wanted financial freedom, a specific income level, my dream car, and a thriving business. Those dreams, vividly clear in my mind, have since become my reality, achieved even before my targeted age. Writing down that precise dream struck a powerful chord within me, affirming that the clarity of a vision can indeed make dreams come true.

Crafting a Vision for Tomorrow

Fast forward to today, I'm in my 40s and yet again, I'm inspired to cast a broader vision. I want to expand my influence beyond my current sphere and reach a global audience. Whether through writing, speaking, or creating content, I am determined to share value with my niche worldwide. It's a journey I plan over the next decade and beyond, confident my influence will continue to grow.

While the exact steps to achieve this vision remain unclear, my past experiences remind me that it's not always necessary to know the 'how' as long as the vision is clear. The mental creation of a dream precedes its physical manifestation, a concept beautifully articulated by Stephen Covey in his work.

Building a Legacy

The cultivation of my legacy is of utmost importance to me. I aim to inspire not only my immediate community and business but also an audience across the globe. By focusing on personal growth, consistent and compassionate leadership, and absorbing knowledge every chance I get, I know that each day is another step closer to my fulfilled vision.

In recognition of this path, I hold steadfast to the idea that dreams are catalysts for action. They rally energies and attract opportunities, drawing our aspirational futures closer. Dreams written down blossom into realities that significantly impact the world.
