I Help Top 2% Performers Maximize Your “Game” In 3 Key Areas: *?? Performance ?? Consistency ?? Results* The Tools Of Pro Athletes Applied to Business & Life. Author: “Work On Your Game” & “The Third Day”
When I go to conferences and events, I talk to a lot of people.?
Everyone I talk to, I ask them some form of, "what are you gonna do now, as you’ve gotten all this information and inspiration from the event? What’s next”
People answer.?
What’s funny is, their answers are RARELY about something new they learned at the event we’d just attended. It’s something that they already knew about / had told themselves to do… but simply had not done.??

I’m on my college’s alumni email list. Every month they send a bland email sharing campus news, celebrate a graduate who got a new job, pitch requests for donations, and ask alumni to get involved with present-day campus activities.?
There’s one other part of the email I always read: The death announcements.?
It’s titled “In Memoriam,” and it lists a name, year of graduation, and death date.?
There’s one in the latest issue. The guy graduated in 1979 and died September 1, 2023.?
Assuming he was 22 when he graduated college, this man died in his mid-sixties.
His whole life, sixty years, reduced to one sentence.?
That’s it.?
ONE SENTENCE.?
But his family had a funeral for him. That’s a lot more than one measly sentence, you say.?
I’m sure they did.?
Do you know what his friends, old coworkers and grandkids said, by around 2:15 PM the day of this man’s funeral??
“I’m hungry. Where are we going for lunch?”?

You don’t have time.?
You never have time.?
Time is your opponent.?
Time knows when you will expire.?
YOU don’t know.?
You know your birth date. Some people celebrate them hard every year. You don't know your death date. So you should celebrate every day via effective utilization of time.?
Your job is to accomplish as much as you can in the time you have, before the game ends.?

Before YOUR game ends.?
Since you don’t know how much time you have, this game is minute-by-minute.?
But… What if you’re destined to live to 100 and you’re only 25??
Even better. You’ll die a legend.?
Because you’re treating age 26 as if you won’t make it to 27. Every new minute, hour and day is a gift.?
How much would you get done with this level of urgency??
“Ok, I got it, Dre. I just need to make / push / discipline / motivate myself to do all the stuff I’ve been telling myself to do. I’ll do it starting today.”
BULLSHIT.?
You’ve been telling yourself THAT for the last four years.?
Here’s the truth about people. This truth is why everyone I meet at an event has all these big plans about what they’re gonna do but don’t do them. It’s why people attend a week-long conference just to tell themselves to finish writing a book they started 2 years ago.
It’s why many veterans leave the military and commit suicide.?
It’s why many former athletes look like “former athletes” three years after they stop playing.?
People need the right environment.?
People need to be around the right people.?
People who will push you, hold you accountable, and are actively doing all the things you’ve said you want to do but aren’t doing.?
You haven't written your book…
Launched your course…?
Gotten in shape…?
Created that new sale funnel…?
Because you're not hanging around or talking to other people who are doing exactly that.?
If you were around them, you’d get your shit done.?
It’s the reason why coaching and training and mastermind groups exist. The energy of association — even if it’s two people — keeps everyone activated.?
If you’re flying solo, you’re doing less than your best.?
When you die, you get one sentence.?
