He answered 5 questions this week, covering common misconceptions about growth hormone peptides, international options, and more. Watch the live stream here. We have provided timestamps alongside questions!
(1:35) Can Growth Hormone Peptides Cause Cancer Cells to Grow?
Your body naturally produces growth hormone from the pituitary gland. Growth Hormone Peptides have been around for many decades. Fortunately, that means they've had a lot of time to look back and study the effects and potential complications of these medications. In terms of cancer risks, there were some loose associations many decades ago. The evidence has never been conclusive. There has been data all over the place, but no conclusive evidence that create cause for concern. For the time being, it's just like any other medication we prescribe, having potential risks or problems. It's important to take into account the history of each patient and consider that when prescribing any medication, including growth hormones.
(11:10) Do You Know of Reputable Peptides outside of the USA?
There are pretty strict standards on compounding pharmacies to keep things safe in the USA. We use only the best, safest pharmacies that are routinely inspected by state boards, pharmacies, the FDA, etc. Every country has their own deal. There are websites of course that sell "peptides". Although it's very alluring, one of the drawbacks of doing that is that you're not being monitored by a medical professional when doing this. How do you even know what you're getting? There are no standards, nobody knows the quality or what's in it like you'd be getting from a pharmacy that's quality inspected. In the USA, we fortunately have a lot of compounding pharmacies.
(14:45) What is the best supplement for a Pre-Diabetic?
Diabetes can ravage the body over time if it's not managed appropriately. Once you get into the diabetes category, it's a lot of work to manage and the health problems are enormous. If we can avoid getting into that category, that's ideal. One of the ways we do that is by identifying people that are pre-diabetic like testing the hemoglobin A1C. There's a point in time where we have a window of time to intervene and stop the diabetes from happening.
We ask 2 questions frequently: Is it a weight or diet issue? Frequently the answer to those questions is yes. So we have to address the lifestyle. We need increased activity and diet changes. If we have those in control but there are still issues, we usually go with a drug called glucophage or metformin. It's been around for a really long time and it helps to stabilize A1C levels.
(20:38) Is going on Clomiphene and HCG a long-term commitment, like going on TRT?
This is a question that often comes up when we're talking to a patient about going on the initial journey of getting their testosterone levels increased. If there is a need for treatment, we always present the option of boosting levels naturally without needing testosterone injections. We use clomiphene and HCG in men and women which tricks the brain into thinking there isn't enough sex hormone in the body, which in turn boosts testosterone production. It takes a few weeks to months to get there, but it has a significant effect. When we get them back and they are happy with their levels and how their feeling, unfortunately the medicines only work when their being taken, so if you go off of it the levels will likely go back to where they were before. We can, however, cut patients way down on their usage, like from 5 days a week to 3 days a week.

(25:59) If a Male has been taking TRT and HCG for 6 years is there a chance that he is still fertile?
The answer should be a resounding yes. There have been many studies on TRT in men with or without HCG. If you're taking HCG like you should, your fertility is preserved. If you're inconsistent with it, then your fertility could be effected.
