Dr. Seuss said it best

Dr. Seuss, the well-known American poet, and cartoonist wrote many awesome books, but there is one of his in particular that I thought about the other day.

The book is called “Oh, The Places You’ll Go!”

There is a part in the book where he talks about “The waiting place” ...

“A most useless place...for people just waiting.

Waiting for a train to go

or a bus to come, or a plane to go

or the mail to come, or the rain to go

or the phone to ring, or the snow to snow

or waiting around for a Yes or a No

or waiting for their hair to grow.

Everyone is just waiting.”

This part of the book reminds me of a lot of business owners right now in the Technology sector.

The ones that are waiting for the pandemic to end.

Waiting for the ‘right time’ to hire again or really drive their business forward.

But like Dr. Seuss says “just waiting” is useless. 

Because the reality is, these business owners may not HAVE a business when all of this is over…

Or best-case scenario they will be 3, 6, or 9 months behind their competitors who chose to act during this time.

I understand it is a strange and somewhat scary time right now for business owners, but that is why it’s more important than ever NOT to wait around for this time to pass and be forward-thinking.
