see main page for recent updates from Dr. Maloney regarding the Public Health Emergency and the Covid 19 virus

COVID UPDATE: (From Dr. Maloney) OUTPATIENT TREATMENT PROTOCOLS NEEDED TO PREVENT COVID 19 PNEUMONIA AND HOSPITALIZATIONS USE OF COST-EFFECTIVE MEASURES Covid 19 It enrages me that we hear so little talk about available cost-effective prescription medications that have proved to be effective in treating Covid 19 illness' in patients, that we, physicians who have been treating Covid 19 infected patents have used for the past two years that we have found to be effective. There are many Physicians who have adopted the use of a short course of low dose steroids along with a generic prophylactic antibiotic in patients that we, as practicing physicians, have observed to be efficacious in patients that WE determine to be appropriate candidates to prescribe these medications to. It is our responsibility to treat our patients and prevent Covid 19 from progressing to stages requiring hospitalization. It has been our job, doctors and all healthcare providers, nurse practitioners, PAs, nurses.. to treat and take care of Covid 19 stricken patients and aside from being well trained to do so, being on the front lines actively treating Covid 19 'ILL PATIENTS" on a daily basis. The CDC must realize that we have gained knowledge of how to treat Covid 19 ipatients with progressive symptoms to cure and prevent hospitalizations and deaths in the patients we treat. This is what we do, what we have done every single day, many of us for almost two years now, and yet you rarely hear from us or anything about how we have learned to successfully treat Covid 19 patients . You hear little about OUR CONTRIBUTIONS WHICH ARE THE REASONS, NOT JUST VACCINES, THAT THERE HAS BEEN A DRASTIC DECREASE IN MORTALITY RATES FROM THIS COVID 19 VIRUS. We, healthcare providers are not looking for praise, our goal is always to protect your health in asking the CDC to recognize our involvement throughout this pandemic, and to accept our recommendations to treat Covid 19!!! We healthcare providers can and have prevented progression of Covid 19 infections in patients that we feel are appropriate to treat and the CDC should evaluate the outpatient treatment protocol that we healthcare providers know, by empiric knowledge alone, without doubt works. And the CDC should know that in no way are we undervaluing the efficacy of vaccines nor any other recommendation by the CDC by asking the CDC to consider approving this outpatient treatment protocol in appropriate patients.
