This past week, I had the incredible opportunity to attend the Association of the United States Army (AUSA) Annual Meeting and Exposition in Washington, D.C. The experience was nothing short of amazing, filled with eye-opening discussions, cutting-edge technology, and invaluable networking opportunities. As the owner of Health-Works1 LLC, I’ve always believed that collaboration is key to innovation, and this event truly exemplified that ethos.
A Platform for Future-Forward Defense Initiatives
The AUSA Annual Meeting is one of the most prestigious defense-related conferences, and this year, it brought together military leaders, industry experts, and key stakeholders from around the world. Walking through the exhibition halls, I was able to witness firsthand the groundbreaking technology and solutions that are shaping the future of the U.S. Army and defense sector.
What impressed me most were the advanced innovations showcased—everything from next-gen robotics and AI-driven defense systems to cybersecurity strategies that will keep our nation safe in an increasingly digital age. As someone who believes in the transformative power of training and technology, these developments are particularly exciting for Health-Works1 LLC, as we continue to look for ways to enhance our training solutions for government agencies and defense contractors.
Learning from the Best: Sessions and Workshops
The conference featured an array of informative sessions that covered topics ranging from leadership in the military to fostering innovation in defense strategies. I attended workshops that delved deep into how the defense community is leveraging data analytics, artificial intelligence, and advanced technology to optimize military readiness and national security.
One of the highlights for me was a leadership session where top generals and military leaders discussed the future of the U.S. Army. The insights gained from these discussions not only gave me a greater understanding of the strategic goals within defense but also emphasized the importance of partnerships between the military and private industry. I came away inspired and more committed to exploring how Health-Works1 LLC can contribute to national defense through advanced training programs that build the necessary skill sets to meet these emerging needs.
Strengthening Partnerships
One of the most valuable aspects of the AUSA conference was the opportunity to network with some of the brightest minds in the defense industry. From seasoned military personnel to leading defense contractors, I was able to connect with individuals and companies that are at the forefront of innovation.
For me, this conference reinforced the importance of collaboration and partnerships. I met with key representatives from defense firms who shared their goals and challenges, and it was incredible to discuss how Health-Works1 LLC can support these efforts with our specialized training and course development services. We are always looking to expand our footprint, especially in the defense sector, and this event presented some exciting possibilities for future collaborations.

Connecting with Alaskan Native 8(a) Partners
Another key part of the conference experience for me was the chance to connect with my Alaskan Native 8(a) partners. As Health-Works1 LLC continues to work alongside Lawelawe Management Group and other partners, we are looking to grow our offerings in government contracting and defense-related training. The AUSA event allowed us to have meaningful discussions about growth strategies and how we can work together to secure new opportunities. The conversations we had were highly encouraging and solidified my belief that our partnerships will play a vital role in helping us scale our efforts over the next few years.
Diversity, Inclusion, and the Future
One of the things I am most passionate about is diversity in the workforce, especially in sectors like defense where innovation and strategic thinking thrive on diverse perspectives. During the conference, I had the chance to attend several panels focused on increasing diversity and inclusion within the defense sector. These conversations highlighted the need for more women, people of color, and individuals from underrepresented communities to be involved in shaping defense strategies.
As someone who actively works to foster diversity through my company, I was inspired by these conversations and left with several ideas on how Health-Works1 LLC can continue to champion diversity in both our internal team and the services we provide. Diversity is not just a “nice-to-have” in defense; it is a strategic imperative, and I am excited to play a role in furthering this effort.
Looking Ahead: How the Experience Shapes Health-Works1 LLC’s Future
As I reflect on my experience at AUSA 2024, I am energized and optimistic about the future of both Health-Works1 LLC and our potential role in supporting the defense sector. The knowledge, connections, and insights gained during this conference have provided me with a fresh perspective on how our company can innovate in the areas of training and workforce development for military personnel and contractors alike.
Going forward, we plan to explore partnerships with several companies I met at the event, and we are actively looking at new ways to expand our training solutions to better serve defense agencies. This experience has strengthened my resolve to ensure Health-Works1 LLC remains at the forefront of training innovation, and I look forward to sharing more updates soon as we move forward with these exciting new initiatives.
Gratitude and Next Steps
I would be remiss if I didn’t take a moment to express my gratitude to the AUSA team for putting together such an impactful event. The opportunity to connect, learn, and grow alongside some of the best minds in the defense sector is something I’ll carry with me long after the conference has ended.
I look forward to continuing to build on the relationships formed at AUSA, applying the knowledge I gained to elevate the work we do at Health-Works1 LLC, and contributing to the future of defense in meaningful and innovative ways.
Thank you, AUSA, for an unforgettable experience!
