Dr. Karges-Bone to Speak at Conference
Dr. Linda Karges-Bone
The Teachers' Teacher....Providing PD and Keynotes on topics that inform and invigorate. Robust connections to rural and high poverty sites.
Looking forward to keynoting at the Mobile Learning Conference at Anderson University on July 18th. Here is my intro: Dr. Linda Karges-Bone, Distinguished Professor of Education at Charleston Southern University and Director of the consulting firm Education InSite is a "teachers' teacher". With 35 years in the field, she has taught in public and private schools, prepared future teachers at the university level, done keynotes and workshops in 38 states and written 34 books. With years of television and radio experience and her own radio program on parenting, Dr. Bone prefers to teach with the "story method", combining cutting edge research with a lively narrative. Today, she will share a "book chat" about her newest book, the story of "Rich Brain, Poor Brain", a book that challenges the ways that we view students who live in poverty, the ways that we use technology and all forms of instructional strategies, and our own expectations about what is possible in any classroom.
