The Africa 2-5-9 Project Initiative is a visionary program that was launched at the Abu Dhabi International Petroleum Exhibition and Conference (ADIPEC) in 2021 on the conclusion of COP-26 in Glasgow to address specific challenges on climate change action plans and the urgent need for infrastructure development for sub-Saharan Africa.

The initiative will also contribute to other SDGs such as SDG 1 (No Poverty), SDG 3 (Good Health and Well-being), SDG 4 (Quality Education), SDG 7 (Affordable and Clean Energy), SDG 8 (Decent Work and Economic Growth), SDG 10 (Reduced Inequalities), SDG 13 (Climate Action), and SDG 17 (Partnerships for the Goals).
