The screen door was open when I got there, with him standing a few feet away from it. He asked about my boots if they had any snow on them. So, I took them off. We went into his office. There was the usual silence and awkwardness. It felt like a first date, and like we were strangers. He told me that he had been thinking about playing the piano for me. Jeff was in a band and a musician when he was younger. He wrote the famous song that Rod Stewart sings "Some Guys Have All The Luck" He's been around in Hollywood and had gone to parties where he was introduced to famous people like Burt Bacharach. But he told me that I would have to sign a waiver because it was unethical for him to bring a patient into his home.

?

I told him that I would sign anything. So, he took me upstairs into his private home. He walked in front of me, not behind me. The kitchen was to the left of the top of the stairs and the living room was to the right. As soon as you entered the living room the piano was on the inside wall to the immediate left. It was a small, narrow brown piano. But it had full-size pictures on it though. One was of his daughter and the other one looked like older pictures of parents, either his or his wife’s. He told me to sit in the chair by the fireplace.

His living room was cozy. There was an off-white couch with several pillows arranged purposely on it. The piano was directly across from it, with the entryway in-between. There was an easy burgundy chair with an ottoman on one side of the fireplace. I sat in the other chair by the fireplace, the one closest to the piano. It was more formal, with wooden arms, and striped fabric. He looked through his music sheet. I had mentioned I liked Sinatra, so he did Chicago, Witchcraft, The Lady is a Tramp, and ended it on All the Way. he started playing the piano and serenading me in song and I was swooning. He then turned around and told me that he would see me for FREE!!!!

I was delighted that he wanted to do this. I couldn’t help wondering if my growing love for him didn’t influence his decision. We talked about how I easily fall in love and need to be in love. I told him it just feels so good to be in love. And who doesn’t want to feel good? Speaking about feeling good, I asked Jeff if I could have a hug.

We approached each other, and he took me into his arms. I immediately felt his heartbeat through the layers of our clothes. He wasn’t exactly a thin man either, so I was very surprised that it felt as loud as if I was listening to it through a stethoscope. I suppose it felt this way because we were squeezing each other so tight. We stayed that way for what seemed like eternity. Our bodies were so tightly woven like a pretzel is that you couldn't slip a thin piece of paper through us!!! After several minutes We slowly pulled back, enough to deeply look into each other's eyes. out lips mere millimeters apart. I could feel his hot breath on my face. We almost kissed!!!
