I am honoured to receive the highest award from the Governor's Honorable Order of Kentucky Colonels, United States.
The title of Kentucky Colonel represents a significant honour and is the highest accolade bestowed by the American state of Kentucky.
The Governor and Secretary of State of Kentucky endorse the appointment. So, what does being awarded a Kentucky Colonel signify? It recognises an individual's noteworthy achievements and outstanding service to our community, state, and nation.
The Kentucky Colonels is an organisation of talented and capable men and women appointed by the Governor of the Commonwealth of Kentucky because they served the state. Kentucky Colonels serve as the Governor's ambassadors, celebrating Kentucky's heritage and rich history of arts and entertainment.

The highest award granted by the Commonwealth of Kentucky is that of a Kentucky Colonel. Our colonels serve as Kentucky's ambassadors of goodwill and fellowship worldwide. They are recognised for their contributions to society, the state, or the nation and for their distinct achievements.
I have been appointed to this honourable position upon the foundation of my volunteer efforts to facilitate different bilateral dialogues and ecumenical work carried out to weave a network of cooperation, sustainability, and inclusive conversations among diverse groups. This recognition is not merely an accolade but a summons to deepen my commitment to facilitating collaborative initiatives, bolstering sustainability, and ensuring that conversations around inclusion are ever-present. As I continue this path, I am resolved to honour the essence of the Kentucky Colonel by fortifying connections, promoting universal participation, and perpetuating dialogues that nurture unity and collective action amidst our multifaceted society.
In these trying times, where war ravages Europe and the Middle East, the imperative for unity, understanding, and dialogue is underscored even more poignantly. We must come together, setting aside our differences to understand the indispensable value of humanity and the transformative power of dialogue. Our collective conscience and actions must lean towards forging bonds that can secure a future of peace and collaboration, positioning conversations and empathetic understanding at the forefront of our global interactions and policies.
Examining the current public discourse, it becomes abundantly clear that a concerted effort towards dialogue and understanding is of utmost necessity. A shift in our communication ethos is required — emphasising listening with the intent to understand, not merely to formulate a reply. Our public and private dialogues must transform into platforms where diverse perspectives are met with genuine interest and empathy, fostering an environment where collaborative and constructive conversations can pave the way towards harmonious coexistence and mutual progress.
