Vibrant colors, intoxicating music, delicious hor d’oeuvres, and a room full of curious minds and shared experiences. This was the vibe of the Transitions and 29 Rooms collaboration. Sounds amazing, right? I can tell you it was having experienced it first hand. I had to pinch myself to make sure it was real. The 29 Rooms and Transitions event was mind blowing and a must attend event.
For those that are unfamiliar with 29 rooms, “IT’S 29 ONE-OF-A-KIND EXPERIENCES UNDER ONE ROOF. IT’S A SPACE FOR INTERACTION AND EXPLORATION: A PLACE TO DANCE, PAINT, THINK, MAKE NEW FRIENDS, GIVE A DAMN. IT’S A TASTING MENU OF CONTEMPORARY CULTURE BUILT BY VOICES IN ART, STYLE, ACTIVISM, AND TECHNOLOGY. IT’S A VISUALLY STUNNING STAGE FOR CREATIVE EXPRESSION. IT’S AN INVITATION TO DREAM BIGGER.”
This year, Refinery29, the makers behind 29 Rooms collaborated with Transitions to read an all-new interactive experience.
The night started with a Facebook live on Essilor’s Pro page with myself, my great friend Dr. Ryan Parker; Transitions ambassador, Andrew Weitz; and the marketing genius, Mrs. Sherianne James (Essilor of America Chief of Marketing). Dr. Ryan Parker lead the Facebook live with an introduction of the rest of us followed by a “game show” style Facebook Live interview. It was great and really revolved around the theme for Transitions? Signature? GEN 8?: innovative, protective, and convenient. The interview was pretty awesome because it provided an authentic perspective of all views from industry, a consumer stand point, and a doctor’s perspective.

5 年So glad you were able to join us for this incredible event. It is so exciting to watch consumers experience the technology of Transitions Light Intelligent Lenses for the first time, and watching them take photos with it is thrilling!
So glad to have been on the original launch team, Gen 1, of Transitions in 1991 for Silor/Essilor. Our team of 50+ launched first then the Varilux team at Essilor jumped in. We did a great job for the industry!!
