Dr. Dan Boedigheimer, Founder and Chief Safety Officer of Advanced Aircrew Academy, Named Chairman of NBAA Safety Committee

CHARLESTON, SC / October 21, 2024 / -- Dr. Dan Boedigheimer, founder and Chief Safety Officer of Advanced Aircrew Academy, has been appointed the new Chairman of the National Business Association (NBAA) Safety Committee, effective October 21, 2024. Dr. Boedigheimer brings a wealth of experience to this role, having held positions as an FAA Aircraft Program Designee, Pilot Proficiency Examiner, Check Airman, Instructor Pilot, Flight Standards Manager, and Training Manager for Part 135 Air Carriers. He holds an Airline Transport Pilot certificate with over 5,000 hours of flight experience in business jets.

Receiving a bachelor’s degree in Aviation Management from Minnesota State University, a master’s degree in Aviation Safety from Embry Riddle Aeronautical University, and a Ph.D. in Aerospace Science from North Central University, Dr. Boedigheimer has dedicated his career to enhancing aviation safety. He also serves as a training subject matter expert for the International Business Aviation Council’s IS-BAO Standards Board.

Outgoing Chairman Paul Ransbury (BJ), CEO at Aviation Performance Solutions (APS) , commended Dr. Boedigheimer’s contributions, stating, “Dan’s leadership as Vice Chair has been invaluable to our mission of advancing aviation safety. His deep commitment and strategic approach have greatly strengthened the Safety Committee, and he is exceptionally well-positioned to take on the role of Chairman.
