Wearing a mask is a common thing to do. Especially these days. I can cover half of my face with it. It serves me and protects me. It has become part of my daily routine and I have to remember taking it with me wherever I go.
But who is behind the mask?
That maybe invisible part of me is the real essence. It is who I am and not what I do. And to make it more elaborate, I am not what I do. Let me just repeat that again. I am not what I do.
I AM.
In being who I am now, today at this moment in time matters. In this being, I am deserving, loving, caring, empathetic and perfectly imperfect. I am carrying compassion in my heart, in my thoughts and it also translates into what I do. Yes, what I do is a manifestation of who I am. My being literally translates to my mask’s colour, shape, design and fabric.
This is how it translates:
I am keeping my days busy day in and day out, nonstop. = I don’t want to face who I am.
I am often arrogant and offensive throwing painful words at you. = I am wounded.
I tend to be right most of the time. = There is much uncertainty in my life and I am not sure how to cope.
If you change one side of the equation that results in change on the other side, too. What are your equations like? How do you want them to be?
