Dr. Andrea Cullen joins Capslock to help re-train the UK workforce in cyber security
Capslock are delighted to announce that Dr. Andrea Cullen will join the organisation as Co-founder and Head of Research & Development.
Andrea co-authored, developed, and delivered the GCHQ-certified Cyber Security Masters degree at the University of Bradford. She was a founder member and Director of the University’s Cyber Security Interdisciplinary Centre (CSIC) and continues to hold a Visiting Fellowship.
Andrea’s crucial expertise will further enable Capslock to tackle the urgent cyber security skills shortage in the UK. Capslock will invest ￡1.6m in 2021 to re-skill 200 adults in cyber security, bolstering the UK's cybersecurity posture and aiding COVID economic recovery.
Speaking about the appointment, Founder Jonathan Slater said;
“ We’re thrilled to welcome Andrea to the founding team. Her deep expertise will be invaluable across a number of departments, from cutting-edge curriculum design, all the way through to training delivery and passing on her knowledge to our learners.”
Andrea’s contribution to the company will include developing our research arm, curriculum design and development, process optimisation, operations management, general counsel, and training delivery.

I can’t wait to get stuck into the curriculum with the opportunity to shape it in a way that is immersive, engaging and most importantly effective for developing industry relevant cyber skills. Being head of research will also offer me the opportunity to drive the business in new and exciting ways. ”
