Hello all,


For any of those I have provided Data Governance consulting in the past, or folks who are data champions with a penchant for data quality. You may have heard of Dan Myers DQ Dimensions survey. I always speak very highly of it, trying to bring it up every time I cover DQ Dimensions. He polls the masses and then shares the outcome.

When I was doing DG Accelerate packages for Alation (About 80 customers worth), I spoke of this effort in glowing terms and encouraged you all to leverage Dan's inputs on DQ dimensions, and participate for his next survey. I have had the misfortune to work with some newer software firms who think it un-important. They are sadly mistaken. Data Quality Dimensions are a great way to provide substance to trending reporting to see if your data quality is going well, and also to create specialized rules on what is 'trusted data'.

This is a bit of a begging, have someone (just one person is fine) from your firm fill in this survey, Dan will share his results and it helps not just Dan but all of us.
