DP World - Mawani new logistics hub in Jeddah - a new strategic gate between Asia, Africa, Europe

Saudi Ports Authority (Mawani) and Dubai-based?DP World broke ground on a SAR 900 mn logistics park at Jeddah Islamic Port.
This strategic new logistic hub is integrated to the future massive investment programs supporting metal industry and battery manufacturing sectors. KSA is a strategig gateway and hub for industries, chemical, between Asia, Africa and Europe.? Across the Kingdom, there continues to be a notable surge in the demand for warehouse facilities, with Riyadh emerging as the epicenter of demand. This surge can be attributed to a variety of factors, including the booming e-commerce sector, the rapid materialisation of the Kingdom’s giga projects and the wide spread adoption of cutting-edge technologies like robotics.
Jeddah Logistics Park The construction of this new logistics hub in Jeddah is scheduled for an opening end of 2025 and will be developed under a 30-year concession worth SAR 500 mn (USD 133.33 mn) granted to DP World by Mawani.
?The 415k square meter greenfield development is set to become Saudi’s largest logistics park, featuring 185k square meters of warehouse space and a multipurpose storage yard. It will also include 20 MW of installed rooftop solar.
This hub will be strongly interconnected with Egyptian market with on-going development and investments of Ain Sokhna Port and new Ismailia Green Food Hub designed by RINA for Govt of Egypt and AFD.
