The perils of being "All In"

The perils of being "All In"

You've worked hard to build a "team". A big part of that is having everyone go "All In" on the objectives, goals, programs, policies, and products being offered. It is truly amazing what you can accomplish with this team, and everyone has bought into the process. Moral is high and frankly, it doesn't seem like work because everyone and everything is clicking. And then it happens... someone is left out, unappreciated, moved without notice, or just cut out of the process. Unfortunately, I've been on the receiving end of this. The air goes out of your tires, it becomes work again, and your desire for the future of this group is squashed. In life, you're going to get knocked down... the goal is to pick yourself up more times than being knock down. Take what you learned and move on. That may mean a job change... But that's not bad! Look at the good you learned and can bring to the next job. It also teaches you to be aware of potential "issues" in the job interview. From my experience, it's worth the risk and issues of the downside. It will make you stronger and more valuable to your new team! Those I feel sorry for are those that never went "all in" in the first place. They have to force themselves to go to work and it's work just to be there. Go All In and enjoy your career!!!
