Down the Rabbit Hole

I don't often criticize celebrities' opinions, but Candice Owens is a political ditto, so I am making an exception based on what I just read in the linked article below.
First, you don’t automatically become an anti-Semite by criticizing Jews. For example, you can blame George Soros for his anti-West sentiments and socialist policy craziness without being a Hitler. You can even point out facts like there being unusually many Jews within academia, Hollywood, and the financial sector without being an Austrian corporal. As long as you make clear that you don’t do it because they are part of some two millennia-old wacko conspiracy, that is.
Unfortunately, it seems like Candice has passed the latter line.
In short, this is what I think is going on here: It’s a result of what happens when you build your fame by always being "on the edge" or in front of it. Sometimes, it works - when you are right about what you are talking about. Other times, you force yourself over the edge into an abyss.
Candice was a fresh voice and a candid truth-teller for a long time. But then, as Reality started to catch up with her well-founded comments and disclosures about the loony left, deep state, etc., she felt forced to start saying evermore crazy stuff to keep her place in the limelight... This has happened before many times, both on the left and the right. AOC and Anne Coulter are two examples.
The alternative, of course, is that Candice is a true anti-Semite, like members of the Squad. I don't want to believe that, but I can't tell which since I don't know her personally. However, either or, this is as sad as it's bad :-(
