Several years ago I wrote an article about doing what you love and the importance of loving what you do. I am fortunate that I have had a great career - but about three years ago, I wanted to do more for the IT and Security community. I wanted to make sure that there was truly that "trusted advisor" that was there to be honest - and not push a corporate agenda. So, three years ago, I took another leap of faith and started my own company, CyAlliance? . Albeit is scary as heck - it was the best thing I ever did!

As most people know, family, traveling, cooking, wine and bourbon (and an occasional IPA!) are what excite me - what lights that fire in my belly... But, when I talk about "fire in my belly”- especially when it pertains to life - I am referring to the passion to succeed and most importantly be happy. Every one of us has our own desires, hopes and dreams - and they are certainly different in each of every one of us.?

It really hasn't changed over the years, but I certainly know that for me, it was the need to grow (personally and professionally) and to really make a difference. This was not about just my career – but in my life as a whole AND to ensure I had a positive impact in the people and the world around me. My goal has not changed - I still want to be the Best Person I can be! I want to be my Best Self!

Remember, that fire in the belly goes well beyond hard work?and commitment. These are truly valuable and valued traits; but it is that drive that pushes you to do “the best you can possibly do” in almost every situation. Keep in mind that this doesn’t mean you are the?best?in everything!?

So, I Challenge YOU! I send out this challenge to each of you as you?read this… Go out and Be the BEST person you can be and have a PASSION for what you are doing each and every day in your life as well as others, share your successes, share your passions! Remember - we are all in this together!
