The Chicago Booth Healthcare Initiative

As a University of Chicago Booth School of Business alum, I am honored to announce my appointment to the inaugural Advisory Council of the Chicago Booth Healthcare Initiative, a program committed to advancing healthcare innovation through interdisciplinary research, education, and collaboration across the University of Chicago.?

I am particularly excited about the role because it aligns with Good AI’s mission to address one of the most critical challenges in healthcare today: making healthcare accessible to all.

The Grand Challenges

The United States has one of the highest healthcare costs in the world, creating significant barriers to access. Opaque prescription drug pricing, labor shortages, high administrative costs, complex regulatory hurdles, and supply chain bottlenecks for breakthrough therapies such as GLP-1s (obesity drugs)? and curative gene/cell therapies all contribute to this challenge. Solving these problems requires a joint effort from entrepreneurs, healthcare practitioners and administrators, policymakers, investors, educators, and research scientists/engineers. I’m thrilled to be part of the Chicago Booth Healthcare Initiative, which brings together a diverse group of leaders to tackle these systemic issues.

Good AI’s team expansion

Recognizing the importance of a multi-disciplinary team, I am incredibly excited to announce that Charles Wang ( early engineer at Palantir, part of its IPO ) and Daniel Kwan, MD ( ER physician, Telehealth Fellow at Doximity ) have joined Good AI. They will be serving as part of Good AI’s core investment team.??

On the advisor front, I am very honored to have recruited Utkan Demirci ( Stanford Radiology, Canary Center for Cancer Early Detection) and Roger Pedersen ( Stem Cell Expert at Stanford School of Medicine, Chief Scientific Advisor at Good AI's portfolio BitBo). Both Professor Demirci and Professor Pedersen will be joining our roster of esteemed advisors, including Jed Kay ( ex-COO of Eli Lilly ) and Leslie Bottorf ( GE Healthcare, GE Ventures, Medtronic )
