I’m thrilled to announce the creation of Coastal Partners. The vision for CP is to establish a firm that fully embodies our core focus areas within Private Equity: Business Development and Investor Relations.

I’ll lead our BD searches, while my brother, Ed Rooney will continue to build out his coverage in IR.?

It's been just over a year since I began focusing on PE BD, and the feedback has been overwhelmingly positive. Both current BD professionals and those aspiring to enter the field have expressed gratitude for having a recruiting resource dedicated to this function. Firms that are developing or considering developing their BD teams have generally valued the nuanced understanding of the landscape. And there's plenty of nuance to navigate!

TD Newland will continue to operate and serve its’ clients, primarily within its’ original focus - investment banking. I will continue to be a resource there as well.

Why 'Coastal' Partners? Simply put, Ed and I are based on opposite coasts, LA and Charleston. We will continue to work with PE firms across the US, now under the banner of our new firm, dedicated to the markets we specialize in—PE BD & IR.

It means a lot to be able to do this with family.
