When you, the Business Owner, run an ad campaign, are you making sure your employees are ready?
For example, if someone calls your business and says, I’m calling to find out about the couches. I want to buy the red couch. Before your employee starts talking about all of the finer things about said item, your employees should first ask how you heard about our store and our sale.
Nowadays, you have to do more than just post an ad in the newspaper. You need to be using multiple avenues to get the word out about your product or service. If your employee doesn’t know that you ran an ad on Facebook, in the local paper, you did an Instagram story, you were on the local Fox morning show, and you also did a direct mail ad, you won’t be able to track the success and/or failure of your advertising.
Tracking your leads through adverting campaigns and also through Call to Actions buttons on your website is a great way to see who and where you are getting your customers. It will be almost impossible to know your ROI (Return On Investment) if tracking your customers doesn’t play a big role.
When someone says they heard about you online, you need to ask a follow-up question. Where? Was it an ad or maybe a story? Here again, your employees need to well versed in everything your business is doing to attract customers.
It doesn’t matter if you’re a Furniture Store or a Home Care Business, all advertising and website activity can not only be tracked but more importantly, you can turn those leads into more customers. More customers mean more profits.
