Double your efficiency? Two easy steps

When you request a meeting with someone you need to be aware of two things:
- The person you are requesting to attend is as busy as you are (and in some cases even busier).
- 50% of most meetings are wasted (due to lack of preparation, technical issues or a myriad of other factors)
Two quick things you can do to keep your attendees happy:
- Keep meetings to 30 minutes or less - lethargy sets in after 30 minutes if you require more time, split the meeting into two parts
- Set a solid agenda and stick to it - no time wasted on explaining what the meeting is about - send any reference material ahead of time and if attendees haven't read the content - adjourn the meeting until all participants are prepared.

6 年Nice pointers Joe, I also like starting and finishing meetings at odd times (eg. 9:17am-9:35am), that way people are less likely to be late and more likely to be watching the clock to finish on time...catches some people by surprise!
