Double opt-in
Omnichannel scenarios for collecting marketing consents
Since the idea behind the double opt-in is to confirm that the person who provided us with contact details and consented to communication is the owner of this data, it may be worth considering how to shorten this scenario to make it more user-friendly. And in addition, it is easier to implement where we cannot easily confirm this data.
Importantly, each of the following proposals does not require complicated development. All you need is Synerise and some willingness ??
Facebook forms - Forms that allow you to sign up for any service by providing data stored in the user's account (or additional). The only owner of this data is the person currently logged into the application, and most importantly, they are already confirmed at the stage of creating an account.?
SMS - A text message sent to a dedicated phone number by the user to give consent for communication. The person sending the text message is the owner of the phone, so there is no need to build an extra confirmation step.
Logging in via external services (Google, Meta, Apple) - The data provided is related to the user logged into the device. Just like Facebook forms, we are sure that the data belongs to their owner.
Messengers – User/customer-initiated communication using popular messengers. As in each of the above cases, the owner of the phone or the logged-in person is the correct recipient of our messages.
As you can see, the suggestions/scenarios are very simple and, at the same time, much more user-friendly. I invite you to test…
