In 2019, Ebenezer found himself alone; renting a room, facing what seemed like unconquerable challenges. That’s when he met Alex, initially his landlord but soon a guiding mentor. "My mentor's guidance was a lifeline," Ebenezer reflects. “Everyone makes mistakes, but true strength lies in finding a hand to steady us.”

"Hitting rock bottom was a wake-up call," Ebenezer recalls. "It made me realise the importance of creating my own opportunities." With this newfound chance and guidance, he felt a profound responsibility to those who believed in him.

Ebenezer embodies the wisdom of the Chinese adage: "做个有钱，有用的好人" – "Be a wealthy, useful, and good person." He firmly believes that financial stability is essential for helping others. "Having experienced poverty firsthand," Ebenezer reflects, "I understand the critical role a secure home plays in providing stability, dignity, and hope." This belief is why he takes on difficult cases—clients with an urgent need and limited resources.

One such example was a client who had a lot of debt and needed to sell her house to refinance her other needs. Ebenezer facilitated the sale of her home at a fair price, helping her achieve financial security and move in with her daughter. Witnessing her gratitude and relief, Ebenezer felt a deep sense of purpose wash over him. “Here I am, making a difference and lightening someone's load. How could I not continue?”
