#DontGetConnedAgain: listen to a song about seeking truth.

Watch the 1971 music docuseries on Apple about the protest songs of that era.

  • Why has the music industry sanitized music today of protest songs, when 2024 is far worse than 1971?

Remember the story behind the Who's song, Don't get fooled again. If not, watch the docuseries.

Looking for ideas and pro-bona help to promote this song on social media.

  • How might we spark the light of virtues to illuminate the cult indoctrination of our ego-shadows and break the dark side of mass psychosis??

Listen to #DontGetConnedAgain

Listen to the rock version and then the country version.

Which version do you prefer, and why?

If inspired, please share the song and leave a comment. Pay your wisdom forward to your connections.

#DontGetConnedAgain (lyrics)

Verse 1:

Don the Con, the fraudster,

Shallow, hollow, ethical void,

The trickster, the twister,

Turn truth into lies, lies into truth,

Pied piper playing the victim blame game.

Pre-Chorus:

Fear-monger, markets spite, hate, rage,

Improvising, captivating, mesmerizing,

Manipulates minds, induce cult trances,

Blind unconditional loyalty, no guilt,

Reptilian brains reign, rule the mob.

Chorus:

Propaganda spin, lies, fake news,

Grabbing power, dominates,

Scapegoating people, projecting faults,

The dark side rigs the rules,

Win at all costs, that’s all that matters,

Let’s hack the con man’s game,

End the sham reign. Let’s not get conned again.

Verse 2:

Red lines, gerrymander, vote suppression,

Break the rules, fix the game,

Moral hypocrisy lost, integrity gone

In the name of law and order

Pre-Chorus: repeat

Chorus: repeat

?Bridge:

Let’s crack open unwoke wall,

Set freedom free, to the drum beat of truth,

Lets restore fairness, kindness, decency,

And the virtues of our dreams.

Chorus:

Propaganda spin, lies, fake news,

Grabbing power, dominates,

Scapegoating people, projecting faults,

The dark side rigs the rules,

Winning at all costs, that’s all that matters

Let’s hack the con man’s game,

End the sham reign. Let’s not get conned again.

Outro 1:

End chaos, lawlessness, and disorder

Biases, isms, prejudices, inequities, discrimination,

Break free from indoctrination,

People and the planet above profit

Outro 2:

We’ll stand as one for equity and liberty,

Fair rules, fair game, fair play,

Fair opportunities and rewards,

Justice peace, harmony to benefit all.

Let’s hack,

Let’s hack the con man,

Let’s hack the con man’s game.

Let’s not get conned again

Rick I’m stunned and flattered at my book’s having had some role in this. Yes, count me in. What can I do? Shall we talk? [email protected].

Nice! I prefer the rock version and its upbeat tempo. The country versions is good too, as you can better understand the words.
