Don’t you want to become “Dhoni Bhai”? Be calm, some day you may become a Legend... Ask Mr. Cool how can it happen?
Every day we come up with many experiences.
But few of them only connect with us and impact us a lot.
I could not stop myself to share one of my recent experience with all of you.
Everyday I pass through a small galli, (lane) near to my home in Banjara Hills and a team of Galli Cricketers (I believe they are the future of National Cricket) do practice cricket regularly in this galli. Yesterday also when I was passing through this lane after my office, I have found this team was practicing cricket there.
This time an interesting conversation between two players (Bowler & Wicket Keeper) was happening.
The keeper got annoyed on the bowler for giving continuous runs to the batsman. Then, spontaneously a wonderful reply came from bowler to the wicket keeper, “Arrey yaar tension naa lo, kuch nahi hoga, kyu pareshaan ho rahe ho…. Calm raho, aise kaise banoge thum Dhoni Bhai? (Dude why do you worry, nothing will happen. Be calm, with this attitude how you will become Dhoni Bhai?).
It’s true, I too absolutely agree with him (the bowler) – Mr. Cool’s (Dhoni Bhai) success formula is his Calmness in any situation.
How leaders’ attitude impact followers?
We all, are watching M S Dhoni representing the Indian Cricket Team from 2004. In these 15 years of career he has scored more than 17k runs in all formats and has bagged numerous records, awards and rewards.
He has led the Indian International Cricket Squad as captain for more than 11 years and earned many records. He became the first Indian Cricket Team Captain to win all three ICC limited-overs trophies (World Cup, Champions Trophy and the World Twenty20). In 2009, Dhoni also led the Indian team to number one position for the first time in the ICC Test rankings.
We call him with different names Mahi, Dhoni, Thala and Mr. Cool. But Mr. Cool always reflects his nature of being calm in any kind of situation. He always carries the same “Be Calm” nature in any situation. How come it is possible for any person that too during leading a country’s emotions? What would have made him to be like that??
What –Trust / Courage / Never Giving Up / Responsibility & Leadership?
I believe all of the above.
As per his biography, he also had many struggles, to get selected into national team. Even after he got selected into national team he continued with these struggles to stabilize his career. Non-of the struggles could stop his journey of success.
He got trust in his strengths; he has carried the hopes during failures.
He got courage to face any struggle; he has never allowed pressure to dominate his strengths.
He took all the responsibility to lead his team; he has believed in the concept that success of his & his team is the national responsibility and has led the team towards all success and became Leader & Legend.
Keeping calm is not just an attitude, it is quality.
No wonder in the statement of that Galli boy Cricketer.
No wonder if any cricketer following him and considering him as their Role Model.
Even we as a start up, always follow him in any situation.
We also do the practice of keeping ourselves calm and train our Associates to BE CALM in any situation.
We do encourage all our Associates to follow and learn from Mr. Cool how to win the success in any situation.
Here you see one post by one of the Mr. Cool’s fan:
Yes, he is Legend.
Be calm, some day you may become a Legend...
Don't you believe? It is fact.
Still if you don't believe, ask "The Legend M S Dhoni".

5 年Cricket is a gentleman's game. I do not follow the sport very closely, but I do know that one of the most calm and composed players of our time is Dhoni. Your annecdote on the 'galli cricket' is funny and inspiring. On a separate note,it is interesting to see that you are giving life to your thoughts through your writing. It was an enjoyable read. Your casual write-up has an attitude about it that makes one smile. ??
