Don’t Waste Your Time Studying for the New PMP? Exam

I am not suggesting the PMP? exam is not worth studying for. Quite the contrary, now it covers agile and hybrid life cycles, it is more relevant than ever. However, don’t waste your time with ineffective study techniques, such as reading dense books that lead to very poor information recall. Instead, use modern, neuro-science based micro-lessons and visual learning techniques.
Often the best way to understand something is to see it working and capture a mental model, then fill in the details with graphics-based explanations. Once we see the big picture, adding further elements is easier since they have a spatial framework. Our brains are wired to remember images and places (threats to avoid, where to find food, etc.) we can tap into these memory traits to cut study time.
PM Illustrated is a graphical study aid that allows you to explore the Exam Content Outline – the product backlog of exam question topics. The exam is based on the Exam Content Outline (ECO), not any edition of the PMBOK? Guide. It draws from a wide source of reference books, with the key topics, project management tasks and enabling activities described in the ECO.?
PM Illustrated uses mindmaps, cartoon animals, diagrams and clear explanations to not only explain the ECO but make the topics memorable and fun. It also features micro-lessons, self-assessment quizzes, and electronic badges to keep your studies engaging and track your progress for you. And currently, in beta review, it is free to access. So, ditch the boring books and join the visual-learning, micro-learning community.
