Don’t waste your time with Facebook!
It’s true.
It was terrible.
It was awful.
Yes, I wasted my valuable time using the Facebook business page. A month ago I set up a business page to test out posting content on a daily basis. Facebook recommends that procedure to attract viewers, or fans. Content is king on Facebook. I believe every word.
I created a Facebook business page to test out their theory. People told me you can attract a local market using them, because the big boys who have money to market on Facebook are succeeding. But Facebook wants local market businesses to use their business page. So I thought it was worth a try.
I created page two months ago and posted content daily. Last week I checked to see how was doing. Much to my surprise and chagrin, no views!!!
?I decided to dig deeper. I clicked the “insight" pattern and discovered that I failed to sign all of the documents Facebook now requires before you start posting. That also includes a non-discrimination document. What a disappointment for me, but a relief to see that I can still try using Facebook to grow my audience.
Last week I signed all the documents, sealed, and delivered. I started posting content everyday then I got a “ LIKE!” Oh Joy! I got excited.
I am going to post for a month and see if I can grow my audience on this page. I will give you a report next month on my progress. Hopefully, I can show you a video of the results.

Haven't checked or new email addresses against Clicks in Facebook. 4 年I know a lot of people swear by FB as a marketing platform, but I've always felt it's not where people go to do business. It's the water cooler, the bar, the playground, the pub. Not the office and definitely not the business networking meeting. So why do people try to do business there?

4 年Bill, I've not had any success with Facebook. I've come to believe (right or wrong) that it is not where my target audience hangs out to learn about IT practices. I will be watching and learning from you!
