Don’t Walk - Run! - to Apply for the CEO For One Month Internship Program

I want to shout this from the rooftops, but LinkedIn will do — the Adecco Group North America’s CEO for One Month internship program is now taking applications! It truly is the best internship program in the country, hands down. Before I get into why this (seriously) life-altering opportunity for college students makes me burst with pride, let’s back up just a bit.

The mission of the Adecco Group Foundation is to “make the future work for everyone.” The CEO for One Month program delivers on that mission times one million. (Really!) Here’s why.

For college graduates, making the leap from full-time student to full-time employee can be difficult. Internships can serve as a bridge, setting expectations for what their professional experiences will be like. As interns, they’ll learn how to treat others, what opportunities will be available to them and, most importantly, what goals they should set for themselves.

But THIS one, the CEO for One Month internship, doesn’t just show students how to be employees. It shows them how to become leaders. For these individuals, the future doesn’t just work — the future is as big as they can dream.

$10,000 is just the beginning

Eight finalists will be selected to participate in the fun and interactive CEO for One Month Bootcamp in New York City for three days in April. At the end of Bootcamp, one finalist will be named the Adecco Group North America CEO for One Month.

During the month of June, the CEO for One Month intern works side-by-side with the CEO of Adecco Group North America for four weeks. He or she will travel from one end of the country to the other to meet with clients and partners, collaborate with other Adecco Group employees on projects and earn a $10,000 paycheck for the month. (And get the opportunity to compete for the Global CEO for One Month program in September.)

Yes… I said $10,000. Now, you may think I buried the lead, but I didn’t. When the CEO for One Month intern looks back on this experience years from now, I can promise you that the $10,000 salary won’t crack the top three list of what they’ve gained. What will?

Confidence. Did college prepare you to hit the ground running in your career? Today only half (53%) of graduating seniors feel that way, according to a 2019 College Pulse survey. That’s where the CEO for One Month internship comes in.

Imagine applying for roles after spending a month visiting the country’s biggest companies and speaking with inspiring business leaders. That experience shifts your perspective, giving you the confidence to reach out to your dream employers, backed by the network of professionals you’ve met along the way.

A growth mindset. As a student at Baylor University, never in my wildest dreams did I think I would serve in senior leadership at one of the largest companies in the world. But that’s what a growth mindset will do for you.

The CEO for One Month internship offers you access to mentors who will invest in your success and inspire you to be the best you can be. The program essentially fuels a growth mindset right from the start of your career. The sky really is the limit when you break onto the professional scene as a CEO.

Leadership skills. Throughout the course of our careers, we’re introduced to a variety of leadership styles. Unfortunately, for many entry-level employees tucked away inside departments and left out of larger meetings, it can take longer to really discover the type of leader they’d like to be.

C-level executives. Vice presidents. Senior leaders. Tenured pros and rising stars. The CEO for One Month intern has access to all of these folks. This level of exposure early on is pretty irreplaceable in terms of helping you realize your leadership style and learn which skills you need to develop to achieve it.

One student will be CEO for one month… but what they ultimately gain from that experience stays with them forever.

Now, please, share this with the college students in your life! Apply here for the CEO for One Month internship.
