Don't Wait for Opportunities...Create Them!

Don't Wait for Opportunities...Create Them!

“I don't have anything to say.”??

I hear that time and time again from my clients and I think to myself, are you kidding me? Because I've already had a great conversation with you. While you're talking, my brain is going a million miles an hour with all the cool ways that you can stand out, and what you do differently from other people.?

I talk a lot about finding your V.O.I.C.E. in a crowded space.? V.O.I.C.E. is an acronym for being a visible, original, impactful, and confident go-to expert.

Let's key in on this whole original component.? We don't want to be the same as everybody else, because being the same as everybody else is just flat out boring.? Embracing your originality so that you can create opportunities that match who you are...THAT is life changing.

What this means is that you have to get used to that quirky side of you or that side of you that might be a little off center.?

Think about all the people in the world that have done extraordinary things. Most of the time it's because they're out-of-the box thinkers.? They do things differently, they are a little quirky, and they see things a bit different than everybody else.?

They're also unafraid to embrace their originality, which allows them to create unique opportunities that get them further...faster.

CHALLENGE YOURSELF

I suggest making a list of all the things that you do a little differently. What are some of the things that you bring to the table that your competitors don't?

Don't leave out the small details.? We have a tendency to leave all the small nuances out, yet this is often where the gold is!

My coach, Liz J. Simpson , had me do this a couple years ago and I'll be honest...I hated every moment of it.

But when I embraced it, I saw the those unique nuances come to light and my thinking changed.

And then my client strategy changed.

And then...my business grew stronger and more profitable.

Here's my advice, take some time to answer the following:

  • what do you do differently from your competitor?
  • what experience do you bring to the table that's unique and different??
  • what do you love most about your job? Be specific!
  • what do you wish you could do more of?
  • choose your favorite client and write a list of each and every step you took with them. Don't leave anything out. Your list will likely surprise you.

When you have the answers to these questions, you'll realize you have A LOT to say.

WE need to hear you, so don't forget to share your V.O.I.C.E. in posts, videos, podcasts, presentations, articles, newsletters.

If you have any questions, if you need some help stregthening yourimage and your personal brand, let's talk.
