Don't try to get more leads....

Don't try to get more leads....

.....do more with what you have.

Pretty much every business owner I talk to would like to increase the number of leads they generate each month

They believe getting a larger volume of leads is the only way to grow their business.

But what about the leads they are already generating? No business I have ever worked with converts all its leads into prospects, nor all of its prospects into sales.

What if you could make some small changes.....

Each step in your customer journey represents an opportunity for change, for improvement.

Let's look at some hypothetical numbers for a sole trader business for one month.

Let's say...

Leads generated per month 150

Conversation rate 50%, so prospects generated 75

Prospects conversation rate 35% - just over 1 in 3 buy.

So no. of sales 26

Average sale value £280

Total revenue £7,280

If your gross margin is 50% (so marketing and costs of sales equals £140 per sale) your gross profit is £3,640.

Let's assume modest overheads of £500 per month and you pay yourself a salary of £2,000 your net profit is £1,140.

Make some small changes

What if you upped your prices by 5% and improved other steps by 2%....

A massive increase in profitability! ??!

A price rise of 55 would go pretty much unnoticed in most businesses. And just a little bit of focus and tweaking on your conversion processes could generate this 3 extra sales. and with a switch of provider for one overhead line saving £10 per month, you could have 70% more profit. PER MONTH!!

No striving to generate increasing numbers of leads. Just focus on working the leads you already generate harder.

Makes you think, doesn't it?
