DON'T TAKE YOUR LIFE - THERE IS ALWAYS HOPE

One of my favourite songs for situation when we loose direction, motivation and when things don’t go well as per our plans. Helps to re-energise. Beautiful words.

I related this song to the Corona Lockdown where things looked very gloomy and horrible with people were losing hope - fighting the virus and the declining economic situation.

But I also found it relevant to people like the Late Actor Sushant Singh Rajput, a couple of Television Artists and many others who committed suicide recently. How I wish that he had waited for the tide to turn and situation to improve.

Friends those who are going through depression and feeling low, please note that the cycle of day and night, light and darkness is constant and nothing ever is fixed. You have to wait and work for things to change and certainly they will. Hope is the best thing for you to have. Talk to people whom you can trust. Seek help of experts. Don’t take your life. It’s very precious. Your body is not your property. It belongs to God and only he has the right to take it back – time, place and situation as per His Choice.

I have translated the song for you in English for those who don't understand Hindi:

“For how long shall darkness prevail

The days of sadness shall end and a new beginning will unweil.

All days are not the same – sometimes it happiness and sometimes sadness and that’s life.

Autumn shall not last long and too shall pass (2),

The garden shall soon bloom again with new flowers,

The days of gloom, sadness and worry shall soon be over.

However strong the wind may blow,

Hope and Trust that all shall soon be well.

Those who have left you in your journey shall soon meet you there,

The days of gloom, sadness and worry shall be over soon.

Whatever people may say, but the truth is,

The waves of love and hope that rise and rise again, dancing with joy, never ever stopping (2).

shall soon merge with the shore,

The days of gloom, sadness and worry shall be over soon.”

From the Bollywood Movie : Baton Baton Mein

Beautiful lyrics by Yogesh, soothing music composed by Music Director Rajesh Roshan and soulful rendition by legendary Kishore Kumar. What teamwork!
