Don't Suffer in Silence

Suck it up and deal with it has fogged our minds so much that we can’t see the raw reality of our emotions.
Just as your physical health at times requires a team of more than yourself, so does your mental health.
And that is ok!
Talking about emotions has become so synonymous to weakness that people are suffering in silence just to appear strong.
Including myself.
But not anymore.
A few weeks ago I told my story of being sexually assaulted when I was 9 years old. Did you know that 1 in 6 men have experienced a form of this same scenario?
One too many.
And for women, it's even greater.
After telling my story, I had a beautiful soul reach out to me to tell me that she was inspired to seek help for her childhood abuse.
It takes a ton of courage to speak up about it period but especially to someone you don't know.
That was weeks ago and it still inspires me today.
I helped one person and that feels better than the shame and embarrassment I feel at times.
I choose to pick up my sword and fight this evil of mental health for my family, for the world.
The world can't give us everything but it does give us the tools to maneuver through the evil ways of this world.
It's up to us to pick up the swords and start to fight back.
March toward the waves of life.

5 年I would imagine speaking to someone you dont know would be easier than someone you do know. A stranger will hear you story and walk away and the advantage is you will feel lighter.
