I was reading a good article in US News about how to write an offer to a seller of a home.

Since I submitted over 34 offers in the last 7 months for our clients, this was of interest to me (thankfully, most of them accepted)

  1. Start with the details: Every homeowner knows their home and the specifics are like calling their name!
  2. Paint a picture: Every homeowner wants to know that someone great is building a legacy where they used to live. In fact, the opposite is NOT true… nobody wants their old home that they sold to be trashed, do they?
  3. Romance the Seller: This is not just about money, it's about an experience. Make the other party feel like they want to sell their home to you and only to you.
