Don't Stop Your Marketing!
It's been a challenging time for most of us recently and I guess this is the closest we will see in our lives to what it was like to live during World War II.
The enemy, as we know, is unseen and we are in the unknown with this pandemic with people looking at every opportunity to produce the vaccine and keep us all safe.
We've seen a shift in the way we live and the way we are coping. Some of us haven't been out for weeks and some of us just do what we need to to get by.
People in businesses I've spoken to have been worried and concerned, quite rightly, about what the future holds and how they will recover their businesses in the near future. Some people have spent years building this businesses and reputations and now they are simply sitting still. Will we ever return to normal ?
Small businesses have been closing up and down the country as they aren't seen as key workers and it's been hurting many entrepreneurs in the heart as well as the pocket.
One thing we are beginning to talk about though is how we recover from this and it's been great hearing positive people finding alternative ways to trade and focus on becoming stronger as a business.
Our key message when the lockdown was first introduced was not to panic and to carry on marketing. Marketing, as we know, is about relaying the message of a product or service to an audience and there is no reason why any business should consider cutting their marketing during a slow down or even this pandemic. If you are serious about your business opening back up when the lockdown is lifted, you will need clients and customers otherwise your competitor will have swallowed them up.
We've produced a helpful blog article about what to do with your website during the outbreak of COVID19 which has also been published by the Small Business Charter in London and in the Birmingham Business Post.
