There might be a voice in your head that says now's not the time for developing your people — "I'll get to that when this crisis is over." It's understandable to think that feedback and career development are things for after the crisis.

It's during a crisis when we can learn the most about ourselves. Our strengths and weaknesses are lit up. Counterproductive behavior is louder. That's precisely the point because it's in moments like these when that elusive moment of transformation is likely to present itself — when our old ways of working aren't working.
Here are six questions you can ask your team during these pivotal next 90 days to drive personal growth and give the business what it needs at the same time:
- How does this moment call on you to be the best version of yourself? (because that's the only version of you we need ...)
- What is the question you can ask each morning that will keep you focused? (because the highest value things can't suffer ...)
- What are three things you're going to make sure happen in the next 90 days? (because even that is a lot to ask right now ...)
- How will you measure your work even though the data is a mess right now? (because we can't let perfect be the enemy of the good ...)
- What personal risk are you going to have to take to get through this? (because the world just changed and we have to change with it ...)
- What do you need so you can do all of the above without burning out? (because we need you on Day 91 ...)
We're used to talking about crisis, being vulnerable with failure, and sharing transformative experiences after they happen.
It's no fun when you're in it. It's painful. The future is uncertain. You may be scared and feeling rawer than you've felt in a long time, if ever. Your team is feeling the same way.
